Redbridge Safer Communities Awards 2009 One of the Nominees for a Safer Communities Awards was your Co-ordinator and Chairman, Frank Cruder and this is what was written about him in the programme: "Frank is known for his commitment to community safety. He runs one of the most succesful Neighbourhood Watches in the Borough and is Vice-Chairman of the Church End Ward Police Panel. He has also been actively involved in community issues such as the Post Offices closures and Derby Road Car Park" Although Frank did not receive an Award this year, he did receive a Commendation which reads as follows: Dear Frank Cruder Congratulations on being nominated for a Safer Communities Award in 2009. Your contribution to making Redbridge a safer place is greatly appreciated - especially by your local community. This year the judging panel had a particularly hard time deciding who to present with awards. The standard of nominations was extremely high. The fact that Redbridge has an active community of citizens who care about the kind of society that they live in is one of the reasons that Redbridge is a low crime borough. Redbridge Safer Communities Partnership is committed to working with residents and community groups. We hope that you will continue to be involved so that together we can continue to make Redbridge a safer place to live. Thank you for your commitment to community safety. Signed by:Chief Superintendent Peter Terry, Borough Commander and Chair of the Redbridge Safer Communities Partnership and Cllr Mrs Vanessa Cole, Cabinet Member for Community Safety ********************************************************Below is a picture of Frank Cruder taken at the Neighbourhood Watch stand during the Woodford Festival at Waitrose on Saturday 10th Oct 2009
